Meet Lauren
Founder | Studio Director | Designer
My career began in architectural design, where I developed a deep appreciation for how spaces are planned, how they function, and how impactful the flow can have on how enjoyable a space can feel. During this time, I worked in sustainability consultancy, helping to create buildings that support health and wellbeing of occupants through better foundational design decisions.
Becoming a mum shifted my perspective even more. Home became more than just a place to live; it became a backdrop for family life, rest, connection and creating memories. I became increasingly interested in how our surroundings influence the way we feel, and how colour, light, materials and layout can shape our experience of home. I discovered that my home has had to flex and adapt to ever-changing needs of a big family, evolving with us.
I've always been drawn to spaces with character and soul. Referencing the age, architecture and style of buildings through their interiors. Homes that feel personal rather than perfect. Spaces layered with natural textures, meaningful objects, antique finds and colours that evoke the right emotion.
Studio Mountain was born from a desire to bring all of these passions together: architecture, wellbeing, sustainability and thoughtful interior design.
Today, I help people create homes that feel considered, emotionally supportive and designed around the way you want to live. To create spaces that are a true reflection of what you need. Whether that's calm and restorative, uplifting and energising, or somewhere in between, I believe our homes should support us in the moments that matter most.
